Edmonton Family Picnic
We live in one of the best cities, home to some of the best family events going on, there’s always something taking place on a weekend and often at no to little cost to families to boot!
This weekend the 2nd #YEGFamilyPicnic was held at Grizzly Bear Lodge Playground by the Kinsmen Park in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley put on by Edmonton’s Child Magazine along with several local businesses supporting this years event it was a pretty fabulous turnout! Seriously, how great is it that so many local businesses come together to bring out Edmonton’s families!
To Italian Centre Shop Ltd. for providing super yummie sandwiches & fresh fruit for families to purchase.. I had the veggie (super tasty)!
Box Social Event Planning (and sometimes known as Belle in some Princess circles) for organizing the princesses in support of Jacob’s Wish and the super talented balloon artist , Roger from Foole 4 Hire (pictured above). I watched him create some pretty spectacular creatures that little ones were requesting! Amazing!
To Positively Princesses, thank you for coming out and bringing so many smiles to little ones!
(Positively Princess, started a little over a year ago after meeting a special little boy, Jacob who passed away earlier this year. Jacob made a wish at the "wishing well" that he wanted everyone to be happy and his mom wanted him to witness this wish coming true so she started Jacobs Wish by collecting gift cards to give to Long-term a terminally ill kids and their families in the Stollery. Positively Princesse is completely non-profit and we love helping with any charity events or non-profit organizations. To see more about Jacob's wish you can head over to Jacob's Page here. )
Big thanks to the Alberta Motor Association for bringing Teddy out to visit, pass out hugs to all the little ones and to the staff for handing out frisbees & creating works of art with the sparkle tattoos!
