When I process images into black and white, I pick and choose which ones I think will work best, some images will work while others look best in colour. I'll be going a through a session in Lightroom and come to an image that leaps out at me, begging to be edited as black & white. That image is then set apart from the others in a series or a session. I don't think all images should be done as black and white, a reason why I use artist discretion when delivering client images and will not deliver an entire set in both black and white and in colour.

September 19th, 2007, my first trip to New York City.
My friend, Lori and I dreamed all the places we wanted to go.. we pulled out an old atlas of Lori's, circling all the places we'd love to travel to..our big wish list item was NYC. And honestly I didn't think we'd get there but Lori started scouting out airlines.. we looked into hotels.. and before we knew it.. we were booking tickets on a flight sale to NYC to celebrate Lori's 40th Birthday!

During the summer I can't sit still, nights are longer and to sit down feels counter productive for me. I'll go for evening strolls and keep moving but come fall all I really want to do is wrap myself up in a blanket & snuggle up on the couch. Typically, hubby goes off to play poker with the boys after supper on Tuesdays, these nights have become my nights to pull out all my favourite chick-flicks!
